I’ve used and tried so many different free and paid monthly budget planners, and all have a common issue; it needs setting up, and updating it is a pain.

That’s why, I’ve created my own. Check it out!

Not only does this budget template lay out all of your typical expense categories for you to quickly fill in. It also:

• Has a column for where your expenses SHOULD be (and automatically updates based on your income entry)
• Has charts so you can quickly compare where you should be, where your budget says you should be, and where you are
• Has a full calendar day-by-day view so you can enter your budgeted income and expenses by day (which is fantastic for cash flow planning!)
• The calendar feature includes 4 tabs – two for the 2022 budget and actuals, and two for the 2023 budget and actuals. All the dates and days are already pre-populated.
• Comes with examples for 2022 and 2023 which can be easily tweaked for 2024, 2025, 2026, and so on!

And the best part, it works in Excel and Google Sheets! Simply download the template, and open it up in Excel or upload it to Google Sheets (drag and drop the file into your Google Drive and open it).

From there,  enter your income, and see what your budget should look like, then enter your proposed budget. Finally, track your spending to see if you stay on budget each month!
